Bachelorette Recap: Blake starts his journey

Blake’s first full episode!!

Tayshia breaks the news to the men that a new man will be joining them in the house. It is SO awkward and they are all obviously upset.

Blake comes in and gets the one-on-one date card. The men are pissed.

Katie and Blake go on a horseback riding date. There is insane chemistry between the two.

Laine Hardy performs at the end of their date. He won American Idol Season 17. I love him.

The group date card arrives and everyone is on it but Andrew S., which means he gets the second one-on-one later on in the episode.

The group date is hosted by Wells Adams. I LOVE HIM. It’s a sports battle of rugby and basketball. Way too much testosterone.

Hunter gets a bit too aggressive. Hunter wrecks Michael A. from the back.

All of the men are invited to the cocktail party after the date.

Michael A. reveals his story to the group about his late wife. It is so good to see the men show emotion.

Hunter receives the group date rose, which I don’t like because he took the date way too seriously and injured another man.

Katie and Andrew S. meet late at night for their date. They venture into the woods. It is all lit up with lights throughout the trees, and the two play a fun game with envelopes found scattered throughout the lights.

It’s cute but I feel like it’s more of a best friend bond rather than a soulmate.

Andrew reveals his past with being an interracial couple and Katie reassures him that she would be proud to raise mixed-race children. I’m glad this was brought up in an episode because of all the controversy of the franchise’s racist past.

She gives him a rose, in the hot tub.

Time becomes an issue when Hunter steals Katie away. It’s even worse because he already has a rose.

His intense attitude is a bit too intense for the men. I am not a Hunter fan.

Katie ends up sending Quartney, Josh, and Andrew M.
