Trends to Transition You into Fall

Ask any New Yorker what's their favorite season and more than likely it'll be the fall season. It's a time where layers come into play. While we love summer, it gets extremely humid and sticky and sometimes you just want to cuddle with some hot apple cider.

Although you can't tell right now because of the unusual 80s and 90 degree weather days we have been having lately, it is indeed fall. The crisp air, apple spice, and pumpkin aroma fill my heart with joy and so does all these trends that you can easily transition your look into the fall season.

Wide leg cropped denim

While we love our skinny jeans, we thought maybe it's time for something new. Its a denim take on culottes that have a 70s nod. These ultra trendy wide leg cropped denim would be the perfect transition from the warm summer months to those cooler fall days with some boots or oxfords.

Metallic shoes

Yes! Metallic with a liquid-like appearance has been a trend favorite for a while, but accessorizing with a shiny shoe can be slightly complex at first thought. It's not as complicated as you may think, dress any distressed jeans with your favorite style shoe and a slouchy sweater or with a fit and flare dress and heels. Whether it is boots, oxfords, heels or sandals the metallic shoe trend is here in all tones of silver, gold, bronze, and my personal fav rose gold.

Deconstructed Blouses

A new take on the classic blouse, deconstructed blouses wows in the office as well as on a date night. Its the flirty mix of menswear giving the definition of androgynous. Wear it with some wide leg pants or skinny jeans for an updated look to a classic and polished style.

Give Stevie Nicks vibes with these fringe frocks. This updated version of fringe takes a rocker and street style take on this tried and true trend. Dress up a fringe skirt with a button-down blouse and peep toe booties or a fringe leather jacket with a striped dress for a mix of style aesthetics.

Embroidered Denim

Whether its florals, lions, tigers or bears you can say it with embroidery. Personalize you denim with this trend this season, and it will surely take you into the warmer months. If you aren't sure where to start, a denim jacket is perfect for adding some pizzazz with embroidering and your favorite enamel pins.

Crushed Velvet

Oh nostalgia, I'm crushing on this velvet comeback. It's plush, warm and a little edgy. Whether it is used as a skirt, blazer or crop top, the fabrication lends to rocker vibe. The muted and deep colors of fall is the perfect mix for the cooler weather.

Can't wait to hear what styles you will be trying this season! Let me know what fall fashions excite you.
