Slay Target...and Victoria Beckham

Yasss honey! You heard me correct I said, Target. For the first time in their limited edition line (a.k.a. high low collabs) Target is size inclusive meaning they carry plus-sizes.If you have ever waited for a Target exclusive line and have been sorely disappointed when it was sold out or the site crashed, trust me you are not alone. This time around Target was prepared with ample apparel to avoid being sold out just hours after launching.

The Victoria Beckman Collection X Target launched earlier this week on Sunday, April 9th. Curated with a mixture of Victoria's sleek design sense and her daughter's quirky style ability, this collection is the perfect mix of playful, yet crisp pieces. The line is a vault of black and white prints; mix of gingham and sophisticated florals; textured jacquard and bits of lace and scalloped separates in vibrant hues. The prices range from $7-$70, with an average of $40 a piece spread throughout womens, plus size, girls, toddler girls and baby categories. The line is split up into four different collections, each with its own quirk and ornateness.

Well after scouring through the fantastic pieces, I chose a whimsical yet subtle bee printed blouse from the Pressed English Flowers collection and this blush shift dress with a rabbit appliqué on the collar from the Clever Bunny collection. Out of the four collections, clever bunny is my favorite. It's has a child like curiosity with a hint of sophistication sort of like Alice and Wonderland. It can definitely be assumed that the collection was inspired by it. I decided not to go overboard which is what I usually do when shopping and just buy the pieces that truly spoke to me.

Women's Plus Blush Collared Dress

Hmm...on second thought I might put in a second order. You have no idea how monumental this is for Target to really include plus-size women. First off, their in-house brands have been stepping up their style game recently and it shows a new and fresher take on this sector. For a longtime plus size have been invisible in fashion and told to wear all black and something that resembles a trash bag. This collection like many others are filled with bright colors, bold prints, subtle colors and well-thought-out design.
