Try It Out Tuesday: Wantable

I'm so excited to bringing you this new series. Every third Tuesday of the month I will be trying new beauty/ style subscriptions out and giving you my honest opinion. Wantable has been on my mind to try and this was the perfect opportunity.

Wantable is a subscription style service that divvies it's subscription into five sections; fashion, fitness, makeup, intimates and men's fitness. There is a $20 styling fee (it goes towards your purchase) and it varies between the different sections. This time around I went for fashion and filled out the complete survey. The survey was a little long, but since there was no written portion it was vital to be as accurate as possible. Once the survey was filled out the stylist chooses 5 or more items to include in your 'edit' (aka your box). It's simple try it on and decide within 5 days if you are keeping some, all or none of them.

I am a little bit difficult when it comes to people picking out clothes, because I am extremely critical and opinionated so I knew this was going to be a challenge for the stylist. My style is an eclectic mix of boho, edgy and some classic pieces.

My package came and I was like a kid on Christmas when it came time to opening this box. Upon opening there are instructions on how the 'edit' works as well as a style quote for inspiration. After opening up the tissue paper there was an invoice on one side and the other side had a note from the stylist and next to each item there was a little style description.

Let's get down to the contents. My edit contained 7 pieces and overall I was pretty pleased with them in theory. Below is what my stylist chose:

Pictured L-R; Forever Denim Jacket $58, Cold Shoulder Top in Black $49, Rolled Cuff Denim $60, and Acid Wash Top with Lace Trim in Olive $48

Pictured L-R; Cut Out Sleeve Tee in Purple $39, Mock Wrap Stripe Dress $42, and Noho Denim Zip Leggings in Indigo $92

I tried on all the items and have decided to only keep one. I understand why the stylist chose certain pieces for instance I love stripes and usually can't resist, but the fit on the dress was off for me. It ran extremely short and I had too much boobage going on, so I had to say no. The leggings are spot on because I own the same pair in black. In theory both cut out tops would have worked, but they just didn't fit well. The acid wash top was confusing to me as I looked like a straight up hippie.

My favorite was the staple denim jacket and here is how I styled it in hopes that it stops snowing soon ( hence the floral top).

Pretty positive experience although the notes left on the items were clearly either old or computer generated because one item talked about fall and we are clearly going into Spring. If you are looking for some different styles/ brands I would say give this a try. If you need some styling advice this service probably isn't for you. I've decided to skip a month for now and come back in May.

Let me know what you subscription service you want me to try next!
